Event Coordinator Introduction:

Event Coordinator Responsibilties:

In this role, you will report to the Events Manager. Responsibilities may include:

  • Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and further planning meetings
  • Booking venues and other services (Ex: catering, AV)
  • Meeting with venue staff, caterers, etc. for planning
  • Creating schedules for employees needed for each event
  • Evaluating events through guest feedback and make proper changes
  • Following a strict budget
  • Communicating to clients any updates, concerns, and arranging details
  • Attending events to supervise and make sure everything goes as planned
  • Solving problems that may arise during events
  • Other duties as required


Event Coordinator Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of event coordinating experience
  • Post-secondary education in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business (OR sufficient experience)
  • Experience working with budgets
  • Ability to problem solve
