Financial Planner Responsibilties:

• Building positive and trusting relationships with clients
• Managing client files and gaining a strong understanding of their needs and goals
• Making smart recommendations that can empower clients to control their finances better
• Completing risk assessment, financial modeling, and cost-saving analysis for clients
• Helping clients make investment decisions
• Providing guidance for clients with tax questions or concerns
• Explaining insurance packages to clients and helping them with purchase, setup, or advice as needed
• Providing clients with advice on debt repayment strategies and options
• Assisting clients with budget-making and setting financial goals
• Using social media marketing techniques, networking, and other client acquisition strategies to grow your client base
• Following market trends, changes, and economic news to help clients make better-informed decisions
• Keeping an up-to-date understanding of our competitors as well as available business products
• Keeping confidential client records and maintaining professionalism at all times
• Ensuring clients and our organization complies with regulations and laws

Financial Planner Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
• CFP Designation
• 2-4 years experience in a similar role
• Customer service experience considered a strong asset
• Excellent communication skills and active listening are required for this role
