Pharmacy Assistant Introduction:

Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilties:

This position reports to the Pharmacist. Duties will include:

  • Providing excellent and consistent customer service
  • Answering and responding to inquiries over the phone
  • Filling prescriptions and processing transactions
  • Completing inventory procedures; stocking, orders and returns, pulling expired medications
  • Complying with government and industry regulations as well as our pharmacy’s procedures and policies
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe workplace at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Pharmacy Assistant Qualifications:

  • High school diploma is required
  • Completion of Pharmacist Assistant or Pharmacy Technology Certificate Program considered a definite asset but not required
  • Past work experience with customer service
  • Must be comfortable using computer systems as well as data entry tasks
